NWO-Groot subsidy awarded for 850 MHz NMR spectrometer
NWO has funded the application for a powerful NMR spectrometer to be housed in the NMR centre at Leiden University. The total investment is 3 million euros, with support from both NWO and Leiden University. The spectrometer will be the heart of a Facility for Paramagnetic NMR. This facility will offer not only access to the spectrometer but also help in the design of paramagnetic compounds, probes and proteins. The NMR department as well as the groups Protein Chemistry and Bioorganic Synthesis in Leiden participate in the facility. The project is headed by Prof. Marcellus Ubbink. The new NMR spectrometer in Leiden is one of the priorities in the uNMR-NL roadmap.More information (in Dutch) can be found here.
